Why Frisco School of Music is Texas’ #1 Choice for Music and Performing Arts Lessons!

As Frisco’s original music & arts school, more students have taken lessons here than anywhere else!

Frisco School of Music and Performing Arts

We are the largest music and performing arts school in the North Texas area, having taught over 12,000 students since we opened in the fall of 2000.

  • Weekly Lessons and Classes:
    • Piano
    • Guitar
    • Ukulele
    • Electric Bass
    • Voice
    • Violin
    • Drums
    • Art
    • Dance
    • Musical Theatre

The Frisco School of Music and Performing Arts has a proven track record of offering quality music, art, dance and musical theatre lessons and classes, year-round. Our full-time mission is teaching success, self-confidence and leadership through music and the performing arts! We have amazing opportunities for many yearly performances at each level of study right on our very own campus at our Frisco Performing Arts Center.

Frisco Performing Arts Center - on our Campus!

All performances are held on our campus at the FriscoPAC, our own professional auditorium and performance venue right here in Frisco. We have more performing opportunities for students than any other music and arts studios in the area.

  • Student Road to Success
    • Group Student Performance Weeks: Five Show Weeks Each Year
    • Center Stage Music Shows: Four Shows Each Year
    • Musical Theatre Variety Shows: Three Shows Each Year
    • Medal Series
      • 3x Art Gallery Shows each year
      • Music Theory Test
      • Yearly Judged Music Performance (YJMP)
    • Music Fest
    • Adult Student Musicale
    • Practice Club and Student Awards

During the year, FriscoPAC hosts over 200 performances and events - not only for our own FSMPA events, but for community events as well. Family owned and operated, the Frisco School of Music & Performing Arts/FriscoPAC has received numerous business and arts awards, and is the largest private music and performing arts school/venue in the North Texas area.

Over the years, after investing in our first 7,000 sq.ft. music building, we continued to receive requests to expand our teaching to include acting, art, dance and musical theatre, plus we opened a licensed performing arts day-school for preschool/kindergarten ages 3-6! With this came an even bigger need to have more teaching space plus our own auditorium.

So, in 2014/15 we added our second building on campus, the Frisco Performing Arts Center®, as a performance venue for our Frisco School of Music & Performing Arts students and also for community events.

The FriscoPAC℠ Auditorium seats up to 150 with full audio and lighting set-ups, three-camera video production, live event broadcast, portable stage, grand piano, and more. And the new 7,800 sq.ft. building houses five rooms as teaching-activity-rehearsal-meeting space available for weekdays, evenings and weekends.

And now…we have community groups beating down our door to book space for their classes, shows and meetings, since the local area has very few options at a friendly price-point.

Family Safety Plan

We are an official Safety Plan Music School! In order to keep our students, staff, and teachers safe, we have implemented the Family Safety Plan in our schools! This includes glass windows on lesson rooms to foster transparency between teachers and parents, full-time office staff on duty so that students and teachers are never left unsupervised, requiring extensive background checks of all of our teachers and staff, security cameras in all rooms, and an open-door policy for parents, which means that they’re always invited to sit in on their child’s lessons.

Qualified, Caring Instructors

Our teachers have university degrees and/or real world performance and teaching experience. Faculty are chosen not only for their qualifications but for their ability to relate to the typical needs of our students. We also have many teachers with master’s degrees and beyond to teach upper-level students. Your lesson will be taught in a safe environment and by an instructor who has received a pristine background check.

Lessons are available with over 35 different instructors, 6 days a week. Instructors with a variety of backgrounds and teaching styles ensure that parents and students can find a good personality fit.

Convenience

Students and parents can choose from a range of afternoon/evening and Saturday music, art, dance and musical theatre programs, available at the same time for several family members. For example, families find they can save time by scheduling one child in guitar lessons while another child is taking piano lessons. Many students also take a music lesson and a dance class on the same day, providing more time for other activities during the week and less driving for the family.

We teach a wide variety of styles, from classical piano to rock and metal, sacred to modern pop and jazz music, vocals and singing, mixed media and drawing/sketching/cartooning, art with beginning through advancing techniques with many mediums presented, pre-ballet in our exclusive Around the World Fairytale Princess dance classes, plus musical theatre singing, staging, blocking, choreography, sequencing and Broadway routines.

Facilities

Our facilities are state-of-the-art. We have 33 lesson studios and a 2000 square foot performance space on site: Frisco Performing Arts Center. We continually improve our studio facilities to offer the widest range of programs and the best facilities in the Frisco area. Come in and check out our famous DRUM CAVE! Our dance studio features a professional floating dance floor which prevents fatigue and reduces the risk of injury.

You can enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that lessons are provided in summer, winter, spring and fall. Our year-round approach to teaching allows for multiple shows and performance opportunities, plus a continuity of study that leads to amazing skill building.

Customer Service

Knowledgeable, helpful desk staff are available to assist students during class times. We strive to provide good service and take care of all of the “details” of attending lessons so lessons are hassle free and enjoyable.

Your account will be handled by our professional Administrative Team, with friendly customer service available throughout the day and evening during all lesson times, six days a week!
