Tuna Steak Sandwich with Broccoli Slaw

INGREDIENTS

    r

  • 3 oz tuna steak x4
  • r

  • 4 buns
  • r

  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • r

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil (or canola)
  • r

  • 1 bag broccoli/cauliflower slaw
  • r

  • 1-2 Tbsp sesame seed oil
  • r

  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • r

  • 1-2 tsp roasted sesame seeds
  • r

  • 1/4 cup mayonaise
  • r

  • 1/2 tsp coriander (or 1/4 tsp cumin)
  • r

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • r

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • r

  • rblack pepper (to taste)
  • r

INSTRUCTIONS

    r

  1. Cover tuna steaks with soy sauce, olive oil, salt, pepper. Marinate in a container or bag for 10 minutes.
  2. r

  3. Mix broccoli slaw, seasame oil, bal- salmic vinegar and sesame seeds in a bowl and set aside.
  4. r

  5. Mix mayo and spices in a small bowl and set aside.
  6. r

  7. Toast the buns.
  8. r

  9. Heat a medium skillet on medium high until hot. Sear tuna for 2.5 minutes on each side for medium rare (2 on each side for rare or 3 on each side for medium).
  10. r

  11. Prepare sandwiches as shown.
