‘Radiance’ Ushers in Holiday Season at Riders Field

By Frisco STYLE

Riders Field in Frisco will serve as the setting for a festive holiday experience slated to open Nov. 18.

“Radiance!, featuring Frozen in Frisco ” is set to run through Jan. 1. It will feature more than 3 million lights coupled with carnival-style outdoor activities.

Formerly a drive-thru experience at the ballpark, this year the event will have attendees traveling along a 1.5 mile-animated “light spectacular” in theme park-style ride vehicles as classic holiday tunes play.

Participants will be led to the “Frozen in Frisco” attraction that is set to include a 108-foot Ferris wheel, a Christmas carousel, a two-story tubing hill, reindeer rides, ice skating and s’mores fire pits. Visits with Santa Claus will also be available.

“Radiance! was immensely successful last year,” said Warren Lyng, vice president of PPG, which produces the event. “We are thrilled to be back in Frisco with an even bigger and better experience.”

Lyng said the new ride-vehicle format will equate to attendees spending less time waiting in line and provide “more time … to experience a family winter festival unlike anything in North Texas.”

Additional information about “Radiance!, featuring Frozen in Frisco,” which is a ticketed event, is available at RadianceChristmas.com.
