by Frisco STYLE
in Arts+Entertainment

A concert scheduled at 7 p.m. Saturdaybrat Comerica Center in Frisco will benefit first responders and victims of thebrrecent mass shooting in Uvalde.

Thin Line Events is hosting thebrUvalde Victims and First Responder Mental Health Benefit Concert, which isbrslated to be headlined by country music artists Craig Morgan, Morgan Evans andbrPam Tillis.

The company produces charity concertsbrnationwide as well as festivals and other live events. It expanded its 2022brconcert series to benefit the Robb School Memorial Fund following the Maybrshooting at the Texas elementary school, which claimed the lives of 19 studentsbrand two teachers.  The series also highlights organizations that strive tobrimprove mental health, post-traumatic stress care and suicide prevention forbrfirst responders.

“We started this organization withbrthe hope of preventing at least one first responder suicide,” Jon Bryan, abrTexas firefighter and paramedic who is co-owner and CEO of Thin Line Events, brsays. “It’s public safety’s mission to serve their community. When the tragedybrstruck the Uvalde community … it was our mission to lend our support. Now, webrcan help those affected in Uvalde as well as several charities nationwide tobrcombat mental health challenges that face the public safety community.”

Following the post-traumatic stressbrdisorder-related death of a friend (who was a former fire captain), Bryan andbrhis father, former first responder and Army veteran John “Kempton” Bryan, brwanted to bring awareness and assistance to first responders. Kempton Bryan hasbrproduced and promoted major live events across the United States for more thanbr30 years, including the Borderline Benefit Concert that raised upward of $3.5brmillion for those affected by the 2018 Borderline Bar & Grill shooting inbrSouthern California. Inspired by that experience, Thin Line Events was foundedbrin 2021 to raise funds and awareness through live community events.

Tickets for the Uvalde Victims andbrFirst Responder Mental Health Benefit Concert may be purchased at thinlineevents.com.
