Forever Free

by Lauren Greci
in Arts+Entertainment, Education

You might have noticed little boxes that house a variety of books while driving around town. Those little libraries are part of a much larger program called the Little Free Library. The Little Free Library is the world’s largest book-sharing movement that builds community, inspires readers and expands book access for all. It is a book exchange where everyone is invited to take a book or leave a book. The first Little Free Library was built by Todd H. Bol in 2009 and since inception there are more than 100,000 registered Little Free Library book-sharing boxes across the world! Mr. Bol went on to create a nonprofit to inspire readers and strengthen communities by fostering Little Free Libraries around the world. You can build your own Little Free Library at your place of business or in your very own neighborhood! Visit
brlittlefreelibrary.org to learn more.</p
p>National Read Across America Day is March 2 and in honor of the day, we invite you to visit a Little Free Library to borrow a book and perhaps add to the book sharing boxes right here in Frisco. Below are locations to local registered Little Free Libraries. Find one near you and immerse yourself in a new book. You might just find yourself “forever free!”</p
