Brian Williams

Brian Williams, a contributor to Frisco STYLE Magazine's April weather feature, has lived in Prosper for four years. He is a hobby storm chaser. Mr. Williams tries to understand how tornadoes work and researches them extensively. He considers himself part of the warning system. “My friends and family always know they can turn to me for alerts. I love talking about the weather. It is very important to me to help keep the community safe,” Mr. Williams shares.

When it comes to Frisco residents staying safe during severe weather, Mr. Williams says, “Always have a plan. Our warning systems have gotten better, but it is always good to be ready with your own plan. Always seek shelter when storms are near. Weather apps on your phone and a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration weather radio are always good. When the power goes out, you can rely on those things. We live in Tornado Alley, so you should always put a plan together.”

This week, Frisco has already endured severe weather and hail. Be sure to pay attention to warnings and have a safety plan ready, just in case of an emergency.
