Sangita Datta (Place 4)
A proud Frisco resident, business leader, and community advocate, Sangita Datta has a deep-rooted passion for service. Her journey began as a financial specialist, connecting with the city through the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, where she became an ambassador and has since built lasting relationships that go beyond business.
Sangitaโs commitment to Frisco is evident in her extensive civic involvement. She is a graduate of the Frisco Leadership Program, has completed both the Citizenโs Police Academy and City 101 programs, and currently serves as the Secretary of the Parks and Recreation Board. Additionally, she holds the position of Joint Treasurer for the India Association of North Texas and has been an Ambassador for the Frisco Inclusion Committee. Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including the Emerging Leader Award and the Women of Influence Award.
Having built a successful career โ recognized by Forbes as one of the Top 250 Financial Professionals in the country โ Sangita is now eager to expand her impact by serving on the City Council. โFrisco needs a leader who listens to residents, understands their needs, and takes decisive action,โ she says. With a strong focus on supporting small businesses, she believes that when businesses thrive, the city prospers.
Her priorities include strengthening public safety, fostering economic growth, and ensuring fiscal responsibility. She envisions Frisco as a hub for technological advancement, particularly in artificial intelligence, and aims to create training and education programs that prepare residents for future opportunities. She is also a strong advocate for children with special needs, striving to develop dedicated spaces and programs for their growth and success.\
What does she love most about Frisco? โThe people! Itโs a fast-paced, family-centric city with a small-town feel,โ she explains. Known as โthe connector,โ Sangita thrives on bringing people together and driving success โ without ever needing sleep.

Jared Elad (Place 4)
A commitment to fiscal responsibility, sustainable growth, and community-centered values drives Jared Eladโs campaign for Frisco City Council. With 16 years of experience in financial planning, Jared has dedicated his career to helping families and businesses achieve their goals through thoughtful decision-making. Now, heโs stepping forward to ensure Friscoโs future remains bright.
One of Jaredโs key concerns is managing Friscoโs rapid growth in a sustainable way. โWe are at a critical juncture in Friscoโs expansion,โ Jared explains. To address this, he advocates for responsible development that balances economic prosperity with community well-being. โFrisco must remain a city of opportunity and excellence while maintaining its family-friendly atmosphere,โ he emphasizes.
Jared is also focused on ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency in city governance. โAs Frisco continues to grow, we need leaders who will manage resources wisely,โ he says. He believes that sound financial planning and responsible budgeting will help the city thrive while keeping residentsโ best interests at heart.
Public safety is another priority for Jared. He values Friscoโs reputation as a safe city and is committed to maintaining it. โA strong, well-supported police and fire department is essential to preserving the quality of life in our community,โ he says. While he appreciates the progress made by past administrations, he wants to ensure Frisco remains a secure and welcoming place for families and businesses.
Jared also enjoys engaging with the community and values the strong sense of pride among Frisco residents. โWhether itโs supporting local businesses, cheering on the RoughRiders or FC Dallas, or coming together for community events, Friscoโs people are passionate about their city,โ he says.
With a focus on fiscal responsibility and sustainable growth, Jared is ready to bring fresh leadership to Frisco City Council.

Sai Krishnarajanagar (Place 2)
A commitment to accountability, transparency, and financial responsibility drives Sai Krishnarajanagarโs campaign for Frisco City Council. As a registered nurse and insurance producer, Sai has witnessed the cityโs rapid growth firsthand and is eager to introduce innovative solutions to address the challenges ahead.
A key achievement Sai highlights is the development of the cityโs new theme park โ an idea originally proposed during a previous campaign to generate tourism revenue. โThis was my innovative idea," Sai says, emphasizing a commitment to forward-thinking leadership.
One of Saiโs top priorities is increasing transparency in government. โOur community deserves a city council that values collaboration, innovation, and transparency,โ Sai explains. To achieve this, Sai proposes public accountability panels and more frequent progress updates for residents. Additionally, Sai advocates for town hall meetings at the subdivision level to ensure all voices are heard.
Public safety is another major concern. With the cityโs population reaching 235,000 and growing, Sai believes the police force must expand to keep pace. โWe currently have 1.16 officers per thousand residents, which is below the national average of 3.0,โ Sai notes. The theme parkโs opening will bring an influx of visitors, making increased security a pressing issue.
When it comes to city finances, Sai takes a firm stance against unnecessary debt. โWe have $687 million in debt, and the city plans to add another $160 million,โ Sai warns. One example is the proposed Performing Arts Center, which Sai believes lacks a return on investment. Instead, Sai suggests investing in attracting universities and fostering economic growth.
โI love Frisco because itโs the safest city,โ Sai says. โI am straightforward, do things right, and plan to build a strong city.โ

Josh Meek (Place 4)
A fourth-generation Texan, Josh Meek has called Frisco home for over 13 years, drawn by its potential as a wonderful place to raise a family and build a business. As a local business owner and licensed realtor, he has become deeply involved in the community, starting with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and expanding his engagement to the Frisco Rotary Club, Leadership Frisco Class XVIII, and both the Citizens Police and Fire Academies.
Josh is running for Frisco City Council to ensure the city continues on its path as a world-class community. โI want my kids to grow up and one day raise their own families in the same cutting-edge city we have today,โ he says. His years of preparation include six years on city boards โ two with Visit Frisco and four with the Frisco Community Development Corporation. He has also attended 133 city council meetings, gaining firsthand experience in local governance.
His primary goal is to keep Frisco safe while fostering entertainment and economic opportunities, all while maintaining a competitive property tax rate. โFrisco thrives because of its โcan-doโ attitude and out-of-the-box thinking,โ Josh says. He believes in preserving that spirit while ensuring thoughtful growth and strong city services.
A fun fact? Josh enjoys playing strategy games like chess and Risk. A competitive thinker, he believes success isnโt just about winning โ itโs about how you win.

Tammy Meinershagen (Place 2, Incumbent)
Moving to Frisco from Chicago in 2004, Tammy Meinershagen and her husband, Todd, were grateful to raise their three daughters in a city known for its safety and top-tier schools. Over the past 20 years, she has witnessed Friscoโs growth of more than 500% and has actively contributed to shaping its future. Her decades of volunteer work in education, nonprofits, the arts, and city boards ultimately led to her election to the City Council in 2022.
Tammy is seeking re-election because of her deep passion for service and problem-solving. โI prioritize public safety, job creation, and infrastructure, ensuring the best return on your tax dollars,โ she says. In her first term, she has helped bring over 10,000 new jobs to Frisco, facilitated progress on major stalled projects โ including Grand Park and the Center for the Arts โ expanded volunteer opportunities, and successfully lowered property tax rates three years in a row.
Her campaign focuses on long-term sustainability in three key areas: mobility, affordability, and civic engagement. โFrisco is thriving now, but every decision we make today shapes whether it remains the best place to stay,โ she explains. Tammy believes that progress moves at the speed of relationships and that collaborative leadership is key to delivering tangible results.
She loves Friscoโs unique ability to turn dreams into reality. โWe donโt follow; we lead,โ she says, pointing to the cityโs success in attracting world-class brands like the PGA, Dallas Cowboys, and Universal. โMost cities would be lucky to land one of these projects โ we have them all.โ
A fun fact? Tammy, a second-generation Korean American, didnโt speak English until kindergarten. Music was her first language, and today, her playlist ranges from Rachmaninoff to Dua Lipa.

Gopal Ponangi (Place 4)
Stepping up to serve Frisco in a new capacity, longtime resident and small business owner Gopal Ponangi brings more than 21 years of experience in the community. With a strong foundation in business, philanthropy, and public service, he runs businesses in digital marketing, financial services, and real estate while also leading a nonprofit that provides scholarships to students and supports a cancer clinic.
Having spent the last five and a half years as a Frisco ISD School Board Trustee, Gopal is now expanding his service to the entire community. His experience on the Frisco Economic Development Corporation (EDC) board has fueled his passion for ensuring that Frisco remains a place where families thrive, businesses prosper, and children receive the best education possible.
Gopalโs vision for Frisco is centered on four key priorities: public safety, job creation, tax stability, and traffic improvements. โA strong police and fire department is the key to Friscoโs safety,โ he says, emphasizing the need for proper funding, training, and resources for first responders.
With his background in economic development, Gopal is dedicated to bringing more jobs to Frisco. โBy reducing commute times, people will have more quality time with their families,โ he explains. He believes that attracting businesses will generate additional tax revenue, benefiting residents and reducing homeowners' tax burdens.
Traffic congestion is another focus. Gopal aims to invest in technology to improve traffic flow and enhance residents' daily lives. โWe need smart solutions that make our city more efficient,โ he states.
โI love Frisco,โ Gopal says. โItโs diverse, welcoming, and truly the best place to live, work, and play.โ A fun fact? Heโs a long-distance runner who has completed 10 marathons!

Jerry Spencer (Place 4)
A commitment to economic diversification, community cohesion, and public engagement drives Jerry Spencerโs campaign for Frisco City Council, Place 4. A longtime Frisco resident, Jerry and his wife have lived in Plantation Resort since 2004, raising their grandkids and contributing to the community. Now, heโs stepping forward to help shape Friscoโs future.
One of Jerryโs key concerns is the cityโs heavy emphasis on sports and tourism. โI believe we need to broaden our economic base,โ Jerry explains. To achieve this, he advocates for attracting companies involved in emerging technologies, including DNA sequencing, robotics, energy storage, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology. โFrisco should be a hub for innovation, not just entertainment,โ he emphasizes.
Jerry is also focused on ensuring Frisco remains a cohesive community. โMy goal is to create a city that grows in a unified direction,โ he says. He believes that thoughtful city planning and economic strategy can prevent different areas from developing without a shared vision.
Public safety is another important issue for Jerry. He values Friscoโs reputation as a safe city and wants to maintain it. โI love that I can go anywhere in Frisco, day or night, without fear,โ he says. While he appreciates what past administrations have built, he wants to ensure Friscoโs future remains just as secure and welcoming for all residents.
Jerry also enjoys engaging with the community, something he once found intimidating. โI used to be terrified of public speaking, but now I truly enjoy sharing my ideas with an audience,โ he says. With a focus on innovation and inclusiveness, Jerry is ready to bring fresh leadership to Frisco City Council.

Burt Thakur (Place 2)
A commitment to fiscal responsibility, smart infrastructure growth, and public safety drives Burt Thakurโs campaign for Frisco City Council. As a U.S. Navy veteran and project engineer in data center construction, Burt brings a strong background in power plant operations, engineering project management, and critical infrastructure. Frisco is the best place heโs ever lived, and heโs determined to keep it that way for his family and fellow residents.
One of Burtโs biggest concerns is the cityโs proposed $380 million Performing Arts Center. โIโm not against the arts โ Iโm against wasteful spending,โ Burt says. He believes the project, which commits $160 million upfront and $6 million annually, will raise taxes and limit Friscoโs ability to invest in essential services. โWe should prioritize lowering taxes, fixing traffic, funding fire and police, and modernizing infrastructure,โ he explains. His stance aligns with those of former city leaders like George Purefoy, Will Sowell, and Brian Livingston.
Burt is also focused on attracting high-paying jobs and fostering smart economic growth. By collaborating with the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and Community Development Corporation (CDC), he aims to bring in technology companies and businesses that create strong career opportunities. โWe need to be a city that grows wisely, not one that spends recklessly,โ Burt states.
Public safety is another top priority. Burt is committed to supporting first responders and ensuring Frisco remains a top destination to live, work, and visit. โWe must invest in essential services that truly benefit our residents,โ he says.
Burt asks for your vote on May 3rd. โYouโll find my name at the very top of the ballot!โ he reminds voters.
Fun fact: Burt won Jeopardy!, appearing on the last episode televised before Alex Trebek passed away.

Melanie Barrios-Jones (Place 2)
Raised in a home shaped by the discipline and perseverance of a World War II veteran father and a Depression-era mother, Melanie Barrios-Jones learned from an early age the values of resilience, duty, and service. These principles have guided her throughout her life, from her education at UCLA to her career as a financial advisor and small business owner. She mentioned being a firm believer in the power of community, dedicating much of her time to public education advocacy and leadership initiatives that aim to strengthen connections between schools and families.
Barrios-Jones is running for the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees with a clear mission: to address fiscal responsibility, enhance school safety, and promote transparency within the district. โWith a recent bond proposal failing, itโs clear we need more efficient allocation of resources,โ she explained. Beyond financial oversight, she is particularly concerned with growing reports of bullying and the need for better communication between the district and parents. โBullying is at an all-time high, diverting focus from education, and district communication with the community is lacking. I am committed to ensuring taxpayer dollars are used wisely, creating safe environments for students, and improving transparency between the district and our community,โ she said.
Her primary goal as a candidate is to restore respect in classrooms, advocate for responsible budgeting, and foster stronger relationships between the school board, parents, and educators. She stressed the importance of transparency and direct communication as being the keys to building trust and ensuring Frisco ISD remains a model district. โTransparency and open dialogue will foster trust and collaboration within our community. With these goals, I aim to create a stronger, more effective school system that serves students, families, and educators alike,โ she noted.
Barrios-Jones appreciates Frisco for its ability to balance small-town charm with big-city opportunity, making it a welcoming place for families. And when sheโs not focused on education policy, she has a surprising hidden talentโshe can do a spot-on Cher impression, bringing a little fun and entertainment to those around her.

Stephanie Elad (Place 3, Incumbent)
For the past 13 years, Stephanie Elad has been a dedicated Frisco ISD parent, actively engaged in the school district that has played a crucial role in her familyโs life. She currently serves as a trustee on the Frisco ISD school board and is seeking re-election to continue the work she has started. With a professional background spanning 25 years in human resources, Elad brings leadership experience and a deep understanding of organizational management to her role. She currently serves as Vice President of HR for a construction company headquartered in Virginia, a position that allows her to work remotely while staying connected to the Frisco community. Her connection to the district runs deep โ her daughters, one a college student at Texas Tech and the other an eighth grader at Nelson Middle School, have benefited from Frisco ISDโs education, reinforcing her passion for its continued success.
Elad is running for another term because she said she believes sheโs made a meaningful impact on the district and sees even greater challenges ahead that require strong leadership. During her tenure, she has focused on improving teacher and staff retention, increasing transparency by implementing an anonymous staff survey, and addressing concerns over controversial programs, including the cancellation of a pilot initiative that drew criticism from the community. However, she acknowledges that Frisco ISD now faces even greater obstacles, particularly financial constraints. The district has experienced three consecutive years of deficit budgets, along with declining enrollment, which could have long-term implications for funding and resource allocation.
Her primary goal is to ensure that every community member has a voice in the decisions that shape Frisco ISDโs future. She expressed that by increasing awareness of the districtโs financial situation and fostering open communication, the community can work together to develop sustainable solutions. โI want to make sure that people know that one voice can make a difference in our school district and that I am willing to listen to, and speak for, our community. I also want people to understand the challenges that Frisco ISD faces, regarding finances and enrollment, as it will take community involvement and support to resolve them,โ she said.
Beyond her role as a trustee, Elad treasures the sense of community in Frisco. โThe people,โ she said, โare the greatest thing about Frisco.โ Since running for office in 2022, she has had the opportunity to meet many residents who share her passion for education and the districtโs success. Outside of her professional and civic responsibilities, she enjoys creative outlets, particularly crocheting โ a skill she taught herself during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over time, she has crafted numerous hats, scarves, and even a mermaid backpack for her niece, finding the art of crochet both relaxing and rewarding.

Muni Janagarajan (Place 1)
A Frisco resident since 2013, Muni Janagarajan brings a diverse professional background in information technology and real estate entrepreneurship. However, his true passion lies in education policy and governance, areas in which he has actively engaged for years. His commitment to service is evident in his extensive volunteer work, from serving as an HOA director to chairing the Tamil Nadu Foundationโs local chapter, where he played a key role in helping to raise over $2 million for education initiatives supporting children with special needs and those from impoverished backgrounds. His deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of education has motivated him to step forward as a candidate for the Frisco ISD School Board.
Janagarajan sees education as a powerful equalizer โ one that can unlock opportunities for students from all walks of life. His candidacy is driven by a commitment to strengthening the districtโs fiscal responsibility, enhancing transparency in decision-making, and ensuring that student safety remains a top priority. He is also a strong advocate for supporting teachers, believing that investing in their professional development is essential to maintaining Frisco ISDโs high standards. His dedication to student safety is deeply personal โ he spent over three years as a volunteer crossing guard at Vandeventer Middle School, ensuring that students arrived at school safely, regardless of weather conditions. This hands-on experience reinforced his belief that every aspect of a studentโs school experience, from classroom instruction to daily safety, deserves thoughtful attention and action.
If elected, Janagarajan aims to provide strong leadership that fosters educational success while preparing students not just academically, but also as engaged and responsible citizens. He envisions a future where Frisco ISD continues to be a model district, balancing academic excellence with a commitment to student well-being.
Beyond his passion for education, Janagarajan deeply appreciates the qualities that make Frisco such a desirable place to live. From its diverse and welcoming community to its thriving businesses and rich cultural scene, he values the cityโs dynamic spirit. And while many may know him for his leadership roles, one lesser-known aspect of his community service is his time spent volunteering at the Frisco Pantry, numerous homeless shelters, and various nonprofit organizations.

A physical therapist by profession, Dr. Amit Kalra has dedicated his career to helping others โ a commitment that extends beyond healthcare and into the Frisco community. Since moving to Frisco in 2014, he has been deeply involved in the school district and various civic initiatives. His engagement with Frisco ISD includes serving on multiple committees, such as the District Advisory Council, the Capital Projects Committee, the Library Reconsideration Review Pool, the Bond Development Committee, and the Frisco ISD Leadership Board Academy, where he has contributed to discussions about the districtโs growth, financial planning, and long-term sustainability. His passion for service also extends beyond education โ he has been an active community volunteer, donating wheelchairs, food, and clothing during winter freezes and stepping up as a front-line healthcare worker during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring patients received critical care during uncertain times.
Kalra is running for the Frisco ISD School Board because he said he firmly believes education is the foundation of a strong and prosperous nation. "As a healthcare professional on the school board, I bring a different perspective, different approach, and a wealth of knowledge and people skills to address the needs of all children in the district," he shared. His experiences in the medical field have shaped his ability to analyze problems, communicate effectively, and advocate for solutions โ skills he hopes to bring to the board. More than anything, he sees his role as one that fosters dialogue between parents, educators, and district leaders, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.
At the core of Kalraโs candidacy is his โ5-Star formula,โ which he said he feels is essential to Frisco ISDโs success: School Safety, Teacher Empowerment, Accountable Finances, Responsive Communication, and Student Excellence. He is committed to making sure schools remain safe, educators feel supported, and financial decisions prioritize student learning. โWhen I get old, I want well-educated children to take care of me!โ he joked, highlighting the long-term investment he believes quality education provides โ not just for students, but for the entire community.
Beyond his advocacy for education, you can likely find Kalra on the cricket court! He also loves the unique blend of small-town charm and big-city convenience that Frisco offers. From its wide range of parks and sports facilities to its diverse culinary scene and family-friendly atmosphere, he appreciates the many opportunities available to residents. His personal experiences have also shaped his deep appreciation for service and leadership. A lesser-known fact? He once received the President Voluntary Service Award from the White House for his community efforts, and as a child, he had a remarkable encounter โ receiving a blessing from Mother Teresa at an airport in Kolkata, India.

Suresh Manduva (Place 1)
With a career in technology and a passion for community service, Suresh Manduva has been a dedicated Frisco resident for over two decades. He currently works as a Technical Lead at a major retail company while also serving as the co-founder of Appaluz Productions, a Frisco-based event management company. His leadership extends into the local community as well, being the President of the Parkside Estates HOA Community Board and a former committee member of the Frisco Indian Affairs Committee (an initiative led by Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney).
Manduva has a history of stepping up in times of need. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he spearheaded a relief effort to provide lunches and PPE gear to Frisco ISD staff, first responders, the Frisco environmental services team, hospital workers, and U.S. Postal Service employees. His dedication to students has also been evident through his organization of multiple college readiness workshops for middle and high school students, featuring guidance from recent graduates and counselors to help families navigate the transition into higher education.
Now, Manduva is running for a position on the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees to further his commitment to education and student success. โOver the years, I have actively served in leadership roles within community organizations and dedicated my time to volunteering for student empowerment programs and service initiatives,โ he said. โI am running to bring my experience, passion, and commitment to support our students, educators, and families, ensuring that Frisco ISD continues to thrive and provide exceptional educational opportunities for all.โ

Frisco is more than just a city โ itโs home. I am honored to be part of this incredible community, and committed to ensuring its continued growth and success for future generations.โ
Outside of his professional and civic engagements, Manduva has a creative side โ one that comes alive at family gatherings, where he loves playing DJ for close friends and loved ones. He also enjoys cooking in his free time, finding joy in preparing meals that bring people together.

Renee Sample (Place 2)
With a strong background in technology and a deep-rooted passion for education, Renee Sample has been an active member of the Frisco ISD community for years. A professional in IT Quality Assurance, she specializes in Agile methodology and JIRA, skills that have honed her ability to analyze systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions โ qualities she hopes to bring to the Frisco ISD School Board.
Sampleโs involvement in the district began when her children were in elementary and middle school, where she actively participated in the PTA. Her dedication to education grew from there, leading her to serve as a substitute teacher for a decade, including time in a long-term role. Even after her children graduated, her commitment to Frisco ISD never wavered. She continues to serve as an FISD mentor, a member of the districtโs Legislative Leadership Committee, and as part of the Leadership Frisco Advisory Council. Additionally, she is involved with the Junior League of Collin County, further demonstrating her passion for service and leadership.
Running for the school board is a natural next step for Sample, who is passionate about fostering a quality education for every student while creating an environment that supports both teachers and families. โI believe in transparency, community involvement, and prioritizing resources effectively to enhance educational outcomes for all," she explained. Her campaign is built on five key pillars she calls โBuild Tomorrow Together:โ strengthening communication and collaboration between educators, parents, and students; ensuring fiscal transparency with sustainable, student-focused budgeting; developing strategic partnerships to enhance learning opportunities; expanding STEM and arts into a STEAM curriculum while investing in professional development for educators; and prioritizing mental health and anti-bullying initiatives to create a safer, more supportive learning environment.
Sample is passionate about the unique aspects of Frisco ISD that set it apart, particularly its small school opportunity model, which provides students with a more personalized educational experience. She also appreciates the districtโs specialized programs, such as the International Baccalaureate track, which offers a globally focused education, and the Navy Junior ROTC program, which builds leadership and character. For her, Frisco is the perfect blend of a small-town feel within a growing, dynamic city.
Beyond her professional and community roles, Sample enjoys spending time in her garden, a hobby she finds both relaxing and rewarding. Cultivating plants allows her to step away from the fast-paced world of technology and education and find a sense of balanceโsomething she hopes to bring to the district through thoughtful leadership and collaboration.

Stuart Shulman (Place 3)
An education technology professional and former teacher, Stuart Shulman has dedicated his career to enhancing learning experiences for students and educators alike. With over 20 years in education โ including a decade as a classroom teacher โ he has firsthand knowledge of the challenges teachers face and the resources they need to help students thrive. For the past six years, he has called Frisco home, immersing himself in the districtโs schools as a parent, PTA board member, and active volunteer. His passion for education extends into his current role as the Director of Product Management for an EdTech company, where he develops innovative tools designed to support teachers and improve student learning outcomes.
Shulman is running for Place 3 on the Frisco ISD School Board because of his deep appreciation for the district and its impact on students and families. "Our family moved here, just like many of you, because of the schools," he shared. With children of his own in Frisco ISD โ a first grader and a soon-to-be kindergartener โ he has both a personal and professional investment in ensuring that the district continues to provide high-quality education. He is committed to preserving the strong academic and extracurricular programs that make Frisco ISD a destination district while advocating for educators and fostering meaningful community engagement.
Among his top priorities is the protection of specialized programs, ensuring they remain accessible and beneficial to students of all backgrounds and learning styles. He also emphasizes the importance of securing adequate state funding for public schools, as well as maintaining open collaboration between parents, teachers, and the school board. As Frisco continues to grow, Shulman values the districtโs dedication to balancing expansion with a strong sense of community. โEven as we grow and the world seems to pull us in different directions, Frisco is committed to finding ways to bring us together,โ he said.
Outside of his professional and civic responsibilities, Shulman enjoys spending quality time with his family, often gathered around the table playing one of the more than 300 board games in their collection. Board games, he said, offer a way to slow down, be present, and create lasting memories โ something he said he feels is just as important in education as it is in family life.

Ange Yao (Place 2)
A real estate agent with United Real Estate Group, Ange Yao is passionate about strengthening the relationship between parents, students, and the school district. As a mother of three, including a college-aged student, sheโs running for the Frisco ISD School Board to be a strong voice for students and parents while advocating for teachers. She underscores the vital role of parental involvement in shaping a childโs education.
Yaoโs primary goals include enforcing transparency across the district, ensuring parents are included in the decision-making process, and fostering open dialogue to resolve issues. โI want to make sure parents are more involved in shaping the policies that impact their childrenโs education,โ she expressed.
She appreciates Frisco for its strong educational system and friendly community, as well as its blend of modern attractions and historical sites. For Yao, the schools are what make Frisco special, and she hopes to contribute to their continued success through her leadership.
And something most people donโt know about Yao? She loves to dance!
