Are you interested in learning how to measure and strengthen your company’s social impact and workforce? Join Nomi Network this October at the Nomi Network Corporate Summit at The Star, where you’ll hear from investors, celebrities, corporate leaders, philanthropists, and survivor advocates, as they discuss the convergence of workforce development & ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and how they apply “S” metrics in their investments and corporations to align with business objectives. Attendees will also gain insight on how to optimize ESG guidelines to strengthen workforce development, eliminate human trafficking risks in supply chains, and advance the careers of women and girls from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Speakers for the Summit include some fixtures of the Frisco community such as Mayor Jeff Cheney and City Councilmember Tammy Mienershagen. There will also be representatives from Toyota Financial Services, AT&T, PIMCO, Hilti, Comerica Bank, and Bridgeway Capital. Celebrity speakers include Holly Taylor, AnnaLynne McCord, and other special guests.
Nomi Network is a leading anti-human trafficking organization that provides workforce development and job placement for survivors and those at risk of human trafficking in the United States and Asia. While Nomi Network first started their programs in Cambodia 12 years ago, they now have a program in North Texas with additional plans to expand to other parts of the United States. Currently, Nomi Network serves girls caught up in the juvenile detention system in North Texas through a partnership with the County, providing them with workforce exposure, job skills training, career planning, mentorship, internships, safe & sustainable employment, and case management & support. Through their global programs, Nomi Network has economically empowered over 17,000 women and girls over the last decade, and will use the funds from this event to create pathways to safe employment for many more.
Historically, Nomi Network has convened large corporations annually to network, share best practices, and discuss their efforts in strengthening supply chains and workforce development. During the United Nations General Assembly in 2019, Nomi Network in partnership with PIMCO convened 50 government, corporate, and non-profit executives and leaders to brainstorm, share ideas, and collaborate on how to create more safe employment pathways for survivors and individuals at risk of exploitation. As a thought leader and convener in the workforce development and human rights spaces, Nomi Network is excited to provide another opportunity for fellow corporate leaders, investors, and survivor advocates to discuss the latest trends and best practices for ESG, specifically around social impact.
There will be a VIP luncheon and continental breakfast, as well as quiet rooms where you will be able to take calls. You can purchase tickets to the event here. There are also group rates available on the website!
