One of Frisco’s oldest restaurants, The Depot Cafe, established its roots in Frisco 57 years ago. It is an iconic spot to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner on Friday nights. The land where The Depot Cafe now sits started out as Henry’s Supermarket. In 1987, the owner, Henry Francis, converted his supermarket into a convenience store. About a decade later, Dennis Francis (Henry’s son), and his wife, Debbie, remodeled the space and built a restaurant that gave patrons more seating and a bigger menu. The Depot Café, named in honor of the Frisco train depot, opened in 1999.rOver the years, The Depot Cafe has become a favorite hangout for locals to meet, fellowship and enjoy each other’s company over home-style food. As Dennis looks towards the future, the family legacy and his customers remain at the top of his priority list. If you are new to the area, make sure you stop by this one-of-a-kind, family-owned restaurant for some delicious food. Meet some of the locals and introduce yourself to Dennis and Debbie!
