Bagelology
Bringing New York’s Best to Frisco
Right here in Frisco, where Southern charm meets urban sophistication, lies a haven for bagel aficionados: Bagelology. Established in 2022 by Ameira Olayan and Fadia Anani, best friends and former nursing and catering professionals turned bagel enthusiasts, this picturesque establishment fills a void that many didn’t even realize existed – the absence of authentic New York-style bagels in the Frisco area.
Upon recognizing the scarcity of genuine bagel shops in Frisco, Olayan and Anani embarked on a mission. They traveled to the East Coast, immersing themselves in bagel making during an intensive two-week training session. Determined to bring a taste of the Big Apple to their Texan community, they returned with a wealth of knowledge and the drive to redefine bagel culture in Frisco.
Where Bagelology stands out is in its commitment to authenticity and variety. Like many bagel shops on the East Coast, the shop boasts an extensive menu featuring over 15 bagel varieties, all made in-house through boiling and baking; customers are spoiled for choice. From traditional staples like the classic everything, poppyseed, and sesame bagels to more adventurous offerings such as pumpernickel and za’atar, and even flavors for the sweet tooth like French toast and chocolate chip, that soft, chewy texture remains.
Their offerings of cream cheese schmears are equally impressive, with more than 14 classic and sweet flavors to adorn your chosen bagel offered in 4oz and 8oz tubs. Classic flavors include plain, scallion, and veggie, while sweet spreads include the familiar blueberry and strawberry and even inventive flavors like fruity pebbles and pistachio blossom.
If you’re looking for more than a bagel and schmear, Bagelology’s selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches delivers imaginative flavor combinations on your choice of bagel. From the breakfast classic “BAM! Bagel” sandwich generously stacked with eggs, sausage, and cheese to the flavor explosion of the Lunch Sandwich dubbed “Errr-Thang in the Kitchen” featuring pastrami, turkey, bacon, pepper jack, lettuce, and tomato, you’ll be full in no time.
For most, bagels and coffee go together like peanut butter and jelly, and Olayan and Anani didn’t let customers down in that respect either with over 13 rotating hot and iced beverages, including their house-blend drip, and lattes amongst other staples. Their syrup selection boasts classics and specialty flavors, including vanilla, salted caramel, cardamom, orange blossom, and pandan.
In addition to their decadent and flavorful bagels and schmears, Bagelology also offers baked goods like croissants, double chocolate and blueberry muffins, brownies, coffee cake, and chocolate chip cookies. (They also have a shelf in their store dedicated to highlighting small businesses in the community – love this!)
While Frisco might not have many bakeries with tried-and-true New York-style bagels, Bagelology has made a name for itself as customers keep coming back for more. With its dedication to fine ingredients, quality craftsmanship, and warm hospitality, Bagelology has quickly become a beloved fixture in the Frisco community, proving that true bagel bliss knows no geographical bounds.

Casa Del Bro
Where Family, Flavor, and Fun Collide
Nestled off of Lebanon and FM 423, Casa Del Bro isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a whole experience. Since its inception in 2020, this Frisco gem has delighted patrons with its unique blend of Tex-mex food, delectable ice cream, and a vibrant family-friendly atmosphere. Owned and operated by Rafael and Kristen Alvarez, Casa Del Bro personifies their passion for good food, family, and fun.
With a service model like that of Chipotle, customers can customize their nachos, burritos, tacos, and quesadillas as they’re made on the line, letting employees know exactly what they want. Everything at Casa Del Bro is crafted from scratch daily, as the Alvarezes value the importance of fresh, wholesome ingredients.
As for beverages…yes, you read “Tex-mex” a few lines up, and it’s sometimes hard not to think about margaritas when thinking of Tex-mex cuisine, but Casa Del Bro has that covered, too. Customers can choose from a vast array of beverage options, including Casa Del Bro’s infamous 32-ounce margarita jugs priced at just $10. With enticing flavors like prickly pear and mango con chamoy, there’s something to satisfy every palate. If alcohol isn’t your thing, fear not—opt for a non-alcoholic horchata for a taste of traditional Mexican refreshment.
The interior of the restaurant is as bold and vibrant as the flavors they offer, and “Our Casa is Your Casa” is written boldly above the food service area, which only adds to the familial aspect of the environment the Alvarezes created. An incredibly unique aspect of the restaurant is its innovative finger-skating park, providing entertainment for diners of all ages. It’s an unexpected twist that adds an element of fun to every visit.
But the culinary adventure doesn’t end with the Tex-mex fare. Be sure to save room for some sweet, because if they’re not on the grill or dishing up queso, they’re perfecting batches of their homemade ice cream. Just on the other side of the restaurant space is the Homemade Ice Cream bar where patrons can sample flavors and decide on how many scoops they want, if they want to try a flight of ice cream, a custom sundae, or even a milkshake or float. With a variety of mix-ins the sky is the limit on the fun to be had at this ice cream bar.
While traditional eateries check many of the boxes, Casa Del Bro stands out as a pillar of authenticity and innovation as a place where families can come together to enjoy wholesome food, create lasting memories, and maybe even test their skills on the finger-skating park. Whether you’re craving a hearty burrito, a refreshing margarita, or a scoop of homemade ice cream, Casa Del Bro is ready to serve.

Fluffy Fluffy
A Unique Twist on a Beloved Treat
Frisco’s gastronomic landscape has gotten even more inventive, unique, and exciting as Fluffy Fluffy Dessert Café is the first of its kind in our area. This charming spot is a newfound favorite for lovers of Japanese soufflé pancakes, as they offer a distinctive twist on this beloved treat. Set in a charming space off of Preston Road in the heart of Frisco, Fluffy Fluffy Dessert Café’s menu is a delight in and of itself.
At Fluffy Fluffy, each pancake is carefully crafted during a process that begins with egg whites whipped to soft peaks, which is essential for achieving the pancakes’ airy texture. They’re then cooked slowly at a low temperature. Soufflé pancakes strike a subtle balance between a traditional pancake and a soufflé, resulting in a soft, bouncy, and light delicacy. (But really, they dance on your plate!)
While the pancakes could admittedly be very much enjoyed alone, Fluffy Fluffy prides itself on infusing Asian flavors into its dishes. Each pancake serves as a bold example of such fusion, and the pancakes’ toppings offer sweet and inventive flavors and even add to their visual appeal. From a classic flavor like the Signature (fresh cream and fruit) to Tiramisu, Matcha Tiramisu, or Crème Brulee, Fluffy Fluffy’s flavors are very much a large part of the dining experience, and there is something for everyone.
These fun and inventive pancakes come in stacks of two (they’re much bigger in person than they seem!), and as far as texture goes…they’re honestly like biting into a cloud – incredibly light and airy. So light and airy that it might be worth ordering 1-2 flavors to try!
It’s not just the pancakes that steal the show at Fluffy Fluffy, though, as the cafe also specializes in “burnt top” cheesecakes, which are a Fluffy Fluffy interpretation of the Spanish Basque Burnt Cheesecake. It’s own version of unique, the cheesecake’s slightly bitter, caramelized top balances the ultra-creamy, soft custard within. Available by the slice or as a whole cake, with flavors like Earl Grey, Mango, Matcha, and Coconut, their creamy cheesecakes are a perfect complement to the fluffy pancakes.
In addition to the soufflé pancakes and burnt top cheesecake, diners can further indulge in specialty coffees, fruity sodas, waffles, roll cakes, macarons, and even “croffles.” What’s a croffle, you ask? A fabulous combination of croissants and waffles piled with even more fun flavor options on top. Each item on the menu reflects Fluffy Fluffy’s commitment to celebrating every moment with a touch of sweetness.
Having very quickly become a favorite amongst visitors, Fluffy Fluffy is the perfect spot to satisfy that sweet tooth or to try something new and exciting. With its charming and inviting atmosphere, eclectic array of menu items, and adventurous flavor combinations, Fluffy Fluffy is very much a must-visit hot spot in Frisco where your phone will, undoubtedly, eat first.
Fluffy Fluffy Dessert Café is located at 9244 Prestmont Pl. Ste. 210, Frisco. To learn more, visit fluffyfluffy.com.
