Frisco has a wealth of community parks, playgrounds and green spaces to enjoy. In the second installment of Frisco STYLE’s exclusive digital series What Every Newcomer Should Know, we introduce readers to the fun features at a few of these extra special places.
Frisco Commons, Hope Park and Spray Park
Frisco Commons is a large park with trails, pavilions and a fishing pond. It is also home to the Frisco Veterans Memorial and Gold Star Families Memorial monument. Also tucked inside is Hope Park, featuring an all-abilities playground and a spray park. 8000 McKinney Road
Northeast Community Park/Frisco Skate Park
This community park offers a playground and soccer practice fields, and also features Frisco Skate Park, the largest skate park in North Texas. 2895 Honey Grove Drive
Taychas Trail/Limestone Quarry Park
This two-mile long walk, hike and bike trail runs along the West Rowlett Creek corridor from Isabel Elementary to Rolater Road. It connects to Limestone Quarry Park, which boasts a covered picnic area, pond, playground and public art displays. 1230 Maltby Drive
Ruff Range Dog Park
For Frisco’s four-legged residents, Ruff Range Dog Park (located within B.F. Phillips Community Park), features two fenced, off-leash play areas – one for small dogs, the other for larger pooches – with pavilions, water stations, seating and dog-wash stations. 5335 4th Army Memorial Drive
