Linda Sutton is a founding member of the Frisco Heritage Association. She has lived in Frisco since 1990. Her favorite thing about our city is how vibrant the people are who help make it a quality place to live.

With all of the change and expansion happening in Frisco, the Heritage Association also has the opportunity to grow! “The Heritage Association is a dynamic organization that brings events, exhibits, classes and more to the community,” Ms. Sutton says. r

Shawnee Trail Cowboy Day is the Heritage Association’s major fundraising event each year. At the unique event, attendees can witness mock gun fights, ride in a stagecoach, sample food trucks and watch armadillo races. This year’s event will be held on October 22. “I hope readers will take an afternoon to visit the museum, where they can learn about the Native Americans who inhabited this area, the pioneers who settled the Black Land Prairie of North Texas and the town produced by the railroad,” she shares.
