Mr. Sutter is a World War II veteran that landed on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944. For his bravery and service, he was awarded the French Legion Medal of Honor. The Families of WWII Veterans’ goal is to get 100 cars out to Saddle Brook Memory Care where he is currently being treated for Alzheimer’s disease to celebrate his birthday.
Families of WWII Veterans (FOWWIIV) is a worldwide non-profit organization, based in Frisco and dedicated to ensuring the lessons of World War II are not forgotten. They do this primarily through annual scholarship programs funded by the FOWWIIV charity as well as participating in different events throughout the year that honor our WWII veterans.
To honor Mr. Sutter, FOWWIIV is funding a flyover for the car parade. They will have a Piper PA-25 Pawnee coming in from Midlothian with a banner that will read “Happy 100th Burnie – WW2 Hero.” They have also facilitated a few of their WWII-era vehicles to participate in the parade.
Come show your support and celebrate Mr. Sutter’s 100th birthday this Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10:30 am – 11:15 am at Saddle Brook Memory Care, located at 9966 Legacy Dr, Frisco, Texas 75034. Decorate your car and wave signs of love, joy and inspiration!
