Jeff Rayburn is the Lone Star High School head football coach and campus coordinator. He attributes motivating Lone Star athletes by making practice the best part of their day.
Coach Rayburn explains, “Athletics must be fun and engaging. This all starts with building relationships with athletes. The old saying ‘they do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care’ holds true still today. It is important for athletes to understand the purpose of athletics and team sports and the goals of the team. Once they understand these, it helps them become and stay motivated in knowing that they are working towards something bigger than themselves.”
