Brett and Mindy Lee’s love story began in the small town of McAlester, Oklahoma, where they both grew up and went to High School together. They had a friendship in school that blossomed into more, and when they began dating, they were soon inseparable.
They were married shortly after both graduating from the University of Oklahoma and began a trek across the country as Brett went to graduate school on the east coast for healthcare administration before settling into the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Brett has made a career leading healthcare organizations while Mindy pursued her passion for helping others with a career in the dental field. After being married for 10 years, they welcomed their first (and only) child, Preston in 2007.
Brett and Mindy were drawn to the Frisco community in 2019, when Brett was recruited to serve as the inaugural President of Texas Health Frisco, signaling the beginning of a unique partnership between Texas Health Resources and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Both are very active with volunteerism in the community, with Brett serving on the Board of Directors for the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, and Mindy serving in volunteer leadership roles for the PTA at Preston’s Middle School, as well as serving as an officer for the Boy’s Teen Charity League.
In their spare time, the family loves to travel, and while they weren’t able to do much of it in 2020, they hope to get back to it in 2021. In addition to her volunteer work and keeping up with Preston, Mindy is an avid Tennis Player and enjoys playing in the local women’s league. Brett is an active runner and also enjoys writing. He has published 4 books on the topic of leadership in healthcare, including one book that was recently named “Book of the Year” by the American College of Healthcare Executives.
