Meet the Team
Christine Perrenot – Editor
As editor of Frisco STYLE Magazine, Christine organizes, assigns, edits and proofs the magazine’s monthly editorial. She is also responsible for collecting and generating article ideas, scheduling editorial photography, coordinating special events and writing various articles.
Christine graduated in 2011 from Texas A&M University with a degree in agricultural communications and journalism. Since then, she has published a cookbook for children and developed her writing and editing skills.
In her free time, Christine enjoys traveling and going to her family’s lake house.
Andrew Johnson – Client Services Manager
Andrew has been working for Style Publishing Group since early 2011. He is the Manager of Client Services. He is responsible for ensuring all advertisers are in the magazine and the correct ad is being published in both for Frisco STYLE Magazine and North Texas Magazine.
Andrew enjoys learning new skills everyday and plans to begin learning graphic design. Andrew enjoys watching sports and is a Kansas City Chiefs fan. He also enjoys keeping saltwater reef aquariums and learning about the biology of the ocean.
Becky Johnson – Office Manager
Becky has been our office/financial manager since 2005. Her role is to keep the office well “oiled” and moving smoothly. She enjoys meeting new businesses in Frisco and watching them flourish in this great city, as well as keeping up relationships with current clients. Seeing businesses succeed is “icing on the cake” for her job. She also enjoys planning/helping with company events.
Becky earned her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics in 1983 and was a stay-at-home mom until 2001. She enjoys ALL things domestic (cooking, sewing, cleaning, crafts, gardening, etc.). She is the mother for four children, ranging from 28 to 20. She and her husband, Chris, recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. In addition, both company “security” dogs, Dixie and Pippa, live with Chris and Becky.
Ben Johnson – Digital Media Manager
Ben is responsible for the majority of Style Publishing Group’s online presence. Whether it’s posting recent events on Facebook, scouring the “twittersphere” or pumping up the websites, he’s constantly online. Ben has been with Style Publishing since fall 2012. More recently, he has started to write Frisco STYLE Magazine quarterly auto articles; reviewing the most recent cars and trucks to hit the market.
In his free time, Ben can usually be found researching cars, playing video games or playing just about any musical instrument he can get his hand on — as is the case with practically every male in his 20s.
Chris Johnson – Publisher
Chris is the owner of Style Publishing Group and publisher of Frisco STYLE Magazine. He currently serves on the boards of the Frisco Downtown Merchants Association, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and the Frisco Heritage Association. He is a member of the Executive Council of the Military History Center at the University of North Texas. Past areas of service include being a founding Board Member of Legacy Christian Academy and a board member of both the Frisco Association for the Arts and the Frisco Convention and Visitors Bureau. He also serves at The Rotary Club of Frisco.
Prior professional positions include chief operating officer of Wiredinn.com, an Internet technology/hospitality company; sr. vice president of product marketing & development for TIV Operations Group, an international hospitality-consulting firm; and, director of retail finance for Bank of America. Before this, he had a nine-year tenure with a Sprint, holding several positions within its business and consumer marketing organizations. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones University and completed coursework toward a master’s in marketing from Webster University.
He and his wife, Becky, have four children. Their oldest, Nathan, works for Texas Instruments and lives in Seattle. Their youngest, Miriam, works at Frisco Kid’s Dentistry. Their middle two, Andrew and Ben, are employed at Style Publishing Group. Chris has a passion for sports, politics and history — military history in particular.
George Rodriguez – Director of Sales
George joined the Style Publishing Group team in 2011 bringing a strong background in business development and sales management within advertising, public relations and financial sectors. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1992 with a degree in Economics and Finance. He is currently an active member of the SMU alumni association. PONY UP!
George excels in business development and sales management by building profitable and mutually beneficial relationships with commercial accounts and community-based organizations. As such, he is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships/alliances with Style Publishing Group’s commercial account base. His specialties are sales management/business development, operations management, marketing, project management and business planning and strategy.
George’s hobbies include sports, morning Starbucks, traveling and spending time with his wife, Heather.
Gary Isaacs – Senior Account Manager
While a relative newcomer to the Frisco STYLE team, Gary has extensive major- market media sales and management experience.
After attending the University of Colorado, Boulder and graduating with a journalism degree from Cal State, Northridge, Gary joined Lotus Communications’ national advertising division in Los Angeles. Within a year, the company asked him to open and run Lotus’ national sales offices in Chicago and later, in New York.
Gary returned to his hometown of Dallas in 2005 to begin a seven-year stint as General Sales Manager of the City of Dallas’ WRR Classical 101.1 – the second oldest radio station in the country. He was recruited for this position to rebuild and head the station’s sales division after spending the previous 15 years in a similar senior sales management role at a Lotus station in San Antonio. Between WRR and joining Frisco STYLE, Gary was with the six-station CBS Dallas group.
Gary and his wife Barbara live in nearby Fairview and daughter Isabelle leaves for college this fall. A new Golden Retriever puppy completes the family. Early mornings, Gary hits the gym and loves keeping tabs on the latest news and business stories which impact his family, community and clients.
