Jenny Brown is a photographer and forecast blogger for the Texas Storm Chasers. She also works in risk management at a large, privately-held corporation in the Dallas area. Ms. Brown provided us with insight about the storm chasing world in the April issue of Frisco STYLE.
When it comes to storm preparedness and safety, she shares, “Have a severe weather safety plan in place for yourself and your family! Pay attention to the daily forecast, especially during the spring and fall severe weather seasons here in north central Texas.”
So, what interests Ms. Brown the most about weather research and storm safety? “Recent advances in radar technology, which allows us to detect storm development and evolution in much finer resolution than we have ever had before. This, of course, allows forecasters to track storms and issue warnings with much greater temporal and spatial accuracy,” she says.
